“Appropriate temporary residence” means any of the following:

“Endangered adult” means a dependent or elder adult who is at immediate risk of serious injury or death, due to suspected abuse or neglect and who demonstrates the inability to take action to protect himself or herself from the consequences of remaining in that situation or condition.

“Appropriate temporary protective services” means those services provided to ensure that the endangered adult is protected from the immediate risk of serious injury or death due to suspected abuse or neglect, and that the effects of the abuse or neglect are remedied in accordance with the endangered adult’s needs.
