§ 44221.1

Added by Stats. 2024, Ch. 889, Sec. 1. (SB 1263) Effective January 1, 2025.
(a)The Governor may appoint one deputy to the executive director of the commission. A deputy to the executive director appointed pursuant to this section shall be exempt from state civil service pursuant to subdivision (f) of Section 4 of Article VII of the California Constitution.
(b)It is the intent of the Legislature that appointments to the exempt position described in subdivision (a) do not result in an increase in the amount appropriated to the commission in the annual Budget Act or a net increase in the expenditures of the commission.
