For purposes of measuring the effectiveness of online education as a tool in systemwide efforts toward degree or certificate completion, the trustees shall establish a series of uniform definitions for online education. The definitions developed by the trustees under this section shall, at a minimum, include a systemwide definition for an online course where the course can be entirely completed remotely.
