Amended by Stats. 2003, Ch. 296, Sec. 42.1. Effective January 1, 2004.
The secretary of the district shall compare the signatures in the petition with the affidavits of registration on file with the county election official. The secretary of the district also shall certify to the sufficiency or insufficiency of the petition.
