(a)The “Los Angeles Metro Rail project” means an 18.6 mile rail line and necessary support facilities and equipment as described in the June 1983 Environmental Impact Statement and Environmental Report, Los Angeles Rail Rapid Transit Project, Metro Rail.
(b)The ”initial segment of the Los Angeles Metro Rail project” means that portion of the project which the United States Department of Transportation has approved and committed federal funds for initial construction.
