(a)Pursuant to federal law, there is a State Independent Living Council, that shall advise and assist the director in carrying out the independent living provisions of this division and federal law.
(b)The membership of the council shall be appointed by the Governor and shall be composed of the representatives specified in Section 796d of Title 29 of the United States Code.
