All fees collected pursuant to this chapter shall be paid into the State Treasury to the credit of the Household Goods and Services Fund, which fund is hereby created.

The director shall report to the State Controller at the beginning of each month, for the month preceding, the amount and source of all revenue received by the bureau pursuant to this chapter, and at that time shall pay the entire amount thereof into the State Treasury for credit to the Household Goods and Services Fund.

The money in the Household Goods and Services Fund necessary for the administration of the bureau and the administration of this chapter shall be used for those purposes.

All salaries, expenses, or costs incurred or sustained pursuant to this chapter shall be payable only out of the Household Goods and Services Fund.

Added by Stats. 2023, Ch. 508, Sec. 31. (SB 814) Effective January 1, 2024. Repealed as of December 31, 2026, by its own provisions.

(a)All moneys in the Electronic and Appliance Repair Fund shall be transferred to the Household Goods and Services Fund by July 1, 2026. On July 1, 2026, the Electronic and Appliance Repair Fund shall be abolished.
(b)This section shall remain in effect only until December 31,

2026, and as of that date is repealed.
