At each of its organization meetings the board shall elect a president from their number, and shall appoint a secretary, who shall each hold office at the pleasure of the board.

The secretary need not be one of the directors.

The salary of the secretary and the amount of the bond to be given for the faithful performance of his duties shall be fixed by the board.

The bond of the secretary shall be recorded in the office of the recorder of the principal county and then filed with the district.
