Amended by Stats. 1968, Ch. 33.
The board shall:
(a)Elect an assessor and a collector, and on and after 12 p.m. on December 31, 1971, elect a treasurer, each of whom shall hold office at the pleasure of the board.
(b)Fix and alter their respective compensations.
