§ 8325

Added by Stats. 1969, Ch. 1115.

The Legislature finds and declares the following:

(a)A large portion of the land resources of the state is subject to recurrent flooding causing loss of life and property, and there is a recognized public need in the state for flood insurance.
(b)The public interest will be served by state cooperation under a national flood insurance program, such as the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 (Public Law 90-448; 82 Stat. 572).
