The director is authorized to use the method for selection of the design-build entity set forth in clause (i) of subparagraph (A) of paragraph (3) of subdivision (d) of Section 14661 of the Government Code, notwithstanding that the approved project budget may not be ten million dollars ($10,000,000) or more.
