§ 5012.1

In any lease, easement, right-of-way, license, or permit entered into whereby the department leases real property, obtains a license, permit, or a grant of easement or right-of-way to enter upon the property, the department may agree to indemnify and hold harmless the grantor, lessor, licensor, or permittor by reason of the uses or entry authorized by such lease, easement, right-of-way, license, or permit, and may agree to pay for any damages caused by such authorized use or entry. Insurance may be purchased by the Department of General Services, upon request of the department, to protect the department against loss or expense arising out of such a lease, license, permit,

easement or right-of-way.
