Added by Stats. 2007, Ch. 293, Sec. 1. Effective January 1, 2008.
(a)There is hereby created the State Fair Leasing Authority, a joint powers authority formed pursuant to Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 6500) of Division 7 of Title 1 of the Government Code, which shall be composed of the Department of Food and Agriculture, the Department of Finance, the Department of General Services, and the California Exposition and State Fair.
(b)For the purposes of Section 6502 of the Government Code, the common powers to be exercised by the State Fair Leasing Authority shall be the powers of a district agricultural association.
